The Head of Security is the senior protective security lead for Ocean Infinity Solutions, responsible for enabling the safe delivery of UK Government, defence and other sensitive programmes. Based in the UK and holding (or eligible for) DV clearance, the role owns personnel, physical and procedural security for Solutions, ensuring compliance with IPSA, FSC, and relevant MoD and NPSA requirements. The role acts as the accountable security lead for secure facilities, personnel security and accreditation readiness.
What you will be doing- Act as the senior protective security lead for Ocean Infinity Solutions
- Serve as Site Security Controller (SSC) for personnel security and Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the Woolston secure facility
- Establish and maintain Solutions’ protective security framework in support of classified and sensitive work
- Lead personnel security governance, including BPSS processes, vetting oversight, aftercare and clearance management
- Own FSC readiness, secure facility governance and ongoing compliance for secure environments
- Develop and maintain personnel security implementation plans aligned to bids, programmes and operations
- Lead insider threat management, including risk assessment, awareness and escalation processes
- Act as the primary point of contact with MoD, NPSA, accreditation bodies and external assessors
- Provide clear security guidance to senior leaders and line managers to support secure ways of working
- Support audits, inspections and assurance activities, promoting strong security culture across Solutions
- An experienced protective security or defence security professional with strong knowledge of UK Government security requirements
- Confident operating across personnel, physical and facility security in regulated or classified environments
- Experienced in building governance frameworks, registers and assurance documentation to accreditation standard
- Comfortable leading cross‐functional activity across HR, IT, Facilities, Legal and Programme teams
- Credible and assured when engaging with senior leaders, government stakeholders and external assessors
- Discreet, professional and trusted to operate in highly sensitive environments
- Current UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience supporting MoD, defence or government assurance and accreditation activity
- Formal security, risk, investigative or governance qualifications
- Experience standing up or operating FSC facilities
