Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our growing product design team. This senior role is responsible for shaping user centred digital products and experiences that deliver meaningful value to our users and the business. You will combine deep expertise in interaction and visual design with strong product thinking, user research leadership, and the ability to guide projects from ambiguity to clarity. As a senior member of cross functional teams, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and fellow team members throughout the entire product lifecycle, from discovery and definition to delivery, iteration, and strategic improvement. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, supporting their growth, and raising the overall quality bar of the product design practice. This position requires a proactive, strategic thinker with significant hands on experience leading design work across platforms and complex problem spaces.
What will you do:
- Lead collaboration with cross functional teams to define product strategy and execute growth initiatives.
- Drive the design process from early concept through to implementation, ensuring clarity, coherence, and quality across touchpoints.
- Lead and shape user research activities, defining research approaches and advocating for user needs throughout the organisation.
- Mentor and support junior team members, offering guidance, feedback, and design direction.
- Contribute to establishing and evolving design standards, processes, and best practices.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging methods, and evolving design technologies.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of product design experience, demonstrating expertise in creating intuitive, engaging, and scalable user experiences.
- Proven track record leading the full product development lifecycle for web and or software applications.
- Experience planning, conducting, and synthesising user research to inform strategic and tactical design decisions.
- Ability to deliver design solutions that drive measurable outcomes, support business growth, and create new value for customers.
- Thoughtful, thorough, and conscientious, with a strong ability to consider both detail and the bigger picture.
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability in your work.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to lead multiple workstreams in a fast paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, able to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability and passion for mentoring junior team members, providing constructive feedback and fostering a supportive learning environment.
