Ocean Infinity is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day accounting and compliance for a portfolio of international legal entities. This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant looking to build experience across multiple areas, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial records, supporting audit readiness, and improving control and visibility over entity-level reporting. What you will do:

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records for assigned legal entities, ensuring timely month-end close in line with group deadlines;
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions;
  • Review postings made by outsourced providers (e.g. PwC) and follow up on queries or corrections;
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items proactively;
  • Support preparation of statutory accounts and audit requests for legal entities;
  • Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (e.g. VAT filings, corporate tax coordination) with support from central finance and external advisors;
  • Liaise with the group finance team to ensure consistency in coding, policy application, and reporting across entities;
  • Maintain a thorough audit trail and documentation of financial transactions and decisions;
  • Assist with the integration of NetSuite modules and help transition manual processes into the system;
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for projects, cost tracking, and internal reporting.

Who you are:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
  • 1–3 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit support;
  • Understanding of general ledger principles, reconciliations, and financial close process;
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP is desirable;
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable with ambiguity and evolving systems;
  • Willingness to take ownership and see issues through to resolution;
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and regions;
  • Keen to grow with the business and develop professionally in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
