At Ocean Housing, we're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Property Services Co-ordinator (Assets) to join our Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our housing portfolio, helping ensure our homes remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future. As part of a dedicated and customer-focused team, you'll undertake surveys, oversee property-related projects, support disabled adaptations, manage asset data and contribute to strategic investment decisions that directly benefit our customers and communities. What you will be doing: You will be responsible for coordinating and undertaking a variety of property and asset management activities, including:
- Carrying out stock condition surveys and inspections to inform asset investment decisions.
- Assessing completed works to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Managing applications for tenant improvements and disabled adaptations.
- Maintaining accurate asset management records and property data.
- Undertaking energy assessments and supporting energy efficiency initiatives.
- Liaising with contractors, local authorities, colleagues and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Investigating and resolving customer issues and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Supporting continuous improvement by monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to enhance services.
- We're seeking someone who combines technical property knowledge with outstanding organisational and customer service skills. A Level (or equivalent Level 3 qualification)
- HNC in Building Construction or equivalent qualification
- Significant experience in asset management activities
- Experience carrying out property and stock condition surveys
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills
- A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Understanding of GDPR and workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to travel across operational locations as required.
Desirable
- Diploma in Surveying Practice or equivalent Level 5 qualification
- Domestic Energy Assessor qualification
- RICS membership
- Knowledge of the social housing sector
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience driving service improvements and performance enhancement initiatives.
