Location: Stennack House, St Austell

Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Fri)

Salary: £42,242 per annum

Contract: Permanent

At Ocean Housing, we're looking for an ambitious and analytical Performance Analyst to join our Standards & Performance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping us understand how we're performing against regulatory standards, organisational objectives, and customer expectations.

You'll transform complex performance data into meaningful insight, providing assurance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Produce insightful performance reports and dashboards for senior leaders, governance groups, and regulatory assurance.
  • Analyse trends, identify emerging risks, and highlight opportunities for service improvement.
  • Develop clear, objective performance narratives that translate data into meaningful business insight.
  • Maintain and develop performance frameworks, KPIs, targets, measures, and reporting methodologies.
  • Lead on performance definitions and data dictionaries, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reporting.
  • Support governance, audit, assurance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement improvements.
  • Promote a culture of evidence-led decision making and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with service managers, ICT colleagues, and data owners to improve understanding and use of performance information.

What We Are Looking For:

We're seeking someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Level 5 qualification in data, analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience producing performance reports, dashboards, and management information.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, root causes, and performance drivers.
  • Experience developing and maintaining KPI definitions, performance frameworks, or data dictionaries.
  • Experience supporting governance, audit, assurance, or regulatory reporting activities.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to create balanced, evidence-based narratives.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and interpretations that are not supported by evidence.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and reporting cycles.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Power BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience within social housing or another regulated sector.
  • Professional qualifications in performance management, quality improvement, or related disciplines.
  • Experience driving service improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of complaints, governance, or performance management frameworks.
