Customer Events and Communications Co-ordinator

Location: Stennack House, St Austell
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £28,840 per annum
Contract: Permanent

At Ocean Housing, we're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Customer Engagement, Events & Communications Co-ordinator to help shape how we connect with our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate events, develop engaging communications and support residents to influence the services that matter most to them.

Working within our Tenant Voice & Engagement Team, you'll play a key role in delivering customer events, consultations, communications and involvement activities that strengthen relationships, build communities and help drive service improvements.

What you'll be doing:

You will coordinate a diverse programme of customer engagement activities, including:

  • Planning and delivering customer events, community sessions, tenant meetings and consultations.
  • Developing engaging customer communications, newsletters, website content and event materials.
  • Working with customers, colleagues and community partners to encourage participation and gather feedback.
  • Managing event logistics, schedules, resources and communications.
  • Capturing and analysing customer insight and feedback to help improve services.
  • Supporting digital engagement through surveys, virtual meetings and online feedback channels.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing engagement reports and evaluations.
  • Helping ensure customer voices are reflected in decision-making and service improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For:

We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with a genuine passion for customer engagement.

You'll bring:

  • Experience coordinating events, engagement activities or community-based projects.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to create engaging content for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience working directly with customers, residents, tenants or community stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence building relationships with colleagues, customers and external partners.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
  • The ability to gather, analyse and present customer feedback and engagement outcomes.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and inclusive engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in customer engagement, communications, community development, events management or a related field.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Desirable

  • Experience within social housing, local government or community services.
  • Experience using surveys, engagement platforms or customer insight tools.
  • Knowledge of accessible and inclusive communication practices.
  • Experience producing customer publications, website content or social media communications.
