What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, repairs, and installations to a high standard
  • Working across a variety of tasks including kitchens, doors and windows, flooring, fencing, roofing and more
  • Delivering first-time fixes and creating positive customer experiences
  • Communicating clearly with tenants, colleagues, and the wider team
  • Maintaining van stock, ensuring tools and equipment are safe and compliant
  • Participating in the emergency call‑out rota

Specialist Skills – Doors & Windows (Highly Desirable)

To support our commitment to home safety, security, and energy efficiency, we are particularly keen to hear from carpenters with experience in doors and windows. These skills are highly valued within our team and play a key part in delivering reliable, high-quality repairs for residents.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

  • Repairing, adjusting, and maintaining uPVC and composite doors
  • Timber door and window repairs and refurbishment
  • Lock replacements, ironmongery repairs, and security upgrades
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving operational issues efficiently and effectively

You don’t need experience in all areas — practical experience in any one or two of these skills would be welcomed.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent proven experience
  • A clean, current driving licence
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • A team player with pride in delivering high‑quality work

Desirable Extras

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in social housing
  • Experience using mobile repairs software
