At Ocean Housing, we’re proud to provide quality homes and meaningful support to over 5,000 residents across Cornwall. We’re now looking for a Neighbourhood Services Officer to join our dedicated Neighbourhood Services team and help us deliver exceptional tenancy and community services.

About the Role

As a Neighbourhood Services Officer, you’ll manage a designated patch of tenancies and play a vital role in supporting residents, tackling issues, and helping our communities flourish.

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality estate and tenancy management services
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, partners and local agencies
  • Carry out tenancy visits, inspections, and support sustainability
  • Respond proactively to tenancy breaches, ASB, safeguarding and housing issues
  • Support vulnerable customers with empathy and professionalism
  • Help shape neighbourhood improvements and community initiatives
  • Be an ambassador for Ocean Housing and our values every day

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Customer-focused - passionate about delivering excellent service
  • Resilient and empathetic - calm under pressure and sensitive to residents' needs
  • A strong communicator - confident, clear and professional
  • Organised and proactive - able to manage a busy caseload
  • A team player - supportive, collaborative and positive
  • IT-literate - confident in using MS Office and case management systems

Essential Experience Includes:

  • Dealing with customers in challenging or sensitive situations
  • Delivering face-to-face customer service
  • Administration and accurate record-keeping

A Level (or Level 3 equivalent) is required.

Housing-related qualifications or CIH membership are desirable, but not essential.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel independently across Cornwall
  • Emotional resilience
  • Flexibility, initiative and a positive approach to change
