Join Ocean Housing as a Neighbourhood Services Administrator. The role is being offered on a Fixed Term basis until 5th of November 2027, part time, over 22.2 hours a week. The salary is £15,526.68 per annum (FTE £25,877.80).

We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Neighbourhood Services Administrator to support our Neighbourhood Services Team and help deliver efficient, high-quality services to our residents across Cornwall. What you will be doing:

  • As a key member of the Neighbourhood Services Team, you'll provide comprehensive administrative support across a range of housing services. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a variety of administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, scanning, mail merges and data processing.
  • Supporting housing management functions, including mutual exchanges and empty homes processes.
  • Processing property terminations, applications, nominations and lettings administration.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is updated promptly and correctly.
  • Producing reports and performance information.
  • Organising meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • Taking accurate minutes and supporting team meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and organisational policies.
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents, colleagues and external partners.

What we are looking for:

  • Friendly, approachable and professional.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experienced in administration and data entry.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Skilled at communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible, proactive and keen to learn and develop their skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Experience using IT systems and databases.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Minute-taking experience.
  • Knowledge of data protection principles and GDPR.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities.
