Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • To ensure the chickens are receiving feed and water ad lib.
  • Be able to keep accurate and up-to-date records of important farm related information, such as feed stock, mortality and bird weights by inputting this data into Excel spreadsheets.
  • To ensure the chickens are treated in a humane manner at all times.
  • Be able to monitor and analyze environmental conditions of chicken houses using software.
  • Supervisors must then be able to use this data to adjust environmental settings if necessary to maximize flock performance.
  • To ensure that biosecurity rules are followed at all times.
  • To ensure proper cleanout procedures are followed after slaughter.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science, preferably in Agricultural, Ecology or Management.
  • Be able to work on bank holidays.
  • Be able to work day and night shifts.
  • Preferably have personal transport but we can work around this if the successful candidate can arrive to work on time using public transportation.
  • Must be able to answer alarms, even if they occur after hours during the night/early morning.
