Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- To ensure the chickens are receiving feed and water ad lib.
- Be able to keep accurate and up-to-date records of important farm-related information, such as feed stock, mortality and bird weights by inputting this data into Excel spreadsheets.
- To ensure the chickens are treated in a humane manner at all times.
- Be able to monitor and analyze environmental conditions of chicken houses using software. Supervisors must then be able to use this data to adjust environmental settings if necessary to maximize flock performance.
- To ensure that biosecurity rules are followed at all times.
- To ensure proper cleanout procedures are followed after slaughter.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Science, preferably in Agricultural, Ecology or Management.
- Be able to work on-site.
