About the company
Binq is an exciting new business with a bold mission: to be the go-to community for small and medium-sized businesses looking to grow, save money, and thrive. We help SMEs access funding, cut costs on essential services like energy and insurance, and provide straight-talking, actionable advice to help business owners make smart decisions.
This is a hybrid role requiring you to work in our office in London or Manchester 2 days per week.
About the job
We’re looking for a talented and versatile B2B Copywriter to help shape the voice of Binq. You’ll be central to our content strategy, creating friendly, helpful, and educational articles that make business owners feel supported, informed, and empowered. This is more than just writing. It’s about becoming a trusted voice for our members, like the adviser or mate every business owner wishes they had.
What you’ll be doing for us:
- Write clear, engaging, and practical content for Binq’s blog, guides, newsletters, and website.
- Break down complex topics like funding, energy switching, insurance, and business growth into simple, useful advice.
- Research the latest SME trends and pain points, turning insights into high-performing content.
- Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align content with campaigns, member needs, and seasonal trends.
- Help shape Binq’s tone of voice: approachable, supportive, and straight to the point.
- Optimise content for SEO and user intent.
About you
- You’re an experienced B2B writer with a knack of making jargon understandable.
- You’ve written for SMEs, fintechs, SaaS platforms, or comparison sites.
- You get what small business owners care about: cashflow, costs, time, and growth.
- You write with clarity, personality, and empathy - no fluff, no filler.
- You know your way around keyword research, on-page SEO, and content strategy basics.
- You’re proactive, full of ideas, and love making a difference through your words.
Bonus points if you have:
- Knowledge of business banking or UK energy and insurance markets.
- A background in business journalism or advisory content.
- An interest in helping build a brand from the ground up.
What we’ll do for you:
- Pay you competitively and review your salary every year.
- Welcome you into our awesome team.
- Bring the kind of vibe where we want you to share your ideas.
- Provide you with all the kit you need to work from home.
- Help you plan for life after work with our pension scheme.
- Take care of your health with eye test vouchers, and our employee assistance programme.
- Give you 25 days holiday (to start with), as well as local public holidays and a day off on your birthday.
- Support you with training, mentoring and anything else you need to further your development and hit your career goals.
- Invite you to regular online and in-person team socials, as well as the occasional team retreat somewhere exotic.
- Help you help others with optional “community” days for volunteering.
- Provide you flexibility of benefit with the Ocean Health Plan or Perkbox, whatever suits your life best.
- We will also plant a tree when you join us and then a tree for every year that you are with us.
