We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused and fully compliant building safety and statutory compliance service across a residential portfolio of 16,000 homes. You will hold both strategic and operational responsibility for all six major compliance areas and associated M&E safety disciplines. You will lead internal teams and external contractors, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and best-practice requirements, while embedding a strong culture of safety, accountability and customer excellence. This is a key role with significant influence over building safety outcomes, regulatory assurance and resident confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and governance across all building safety and compliance functions
  • Act as the lead point of contact with the Building Safety Regulator and other statutory bodies
  • Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across all major compliance areas
  • Develop, implement and monitor risk-based compliance programmes
  • Lead and manage teams, contractors, budgets and performance
  • Deliver assurance reporting, audits and manage resulting action plans
  • Oversee procurement strategies and contract management frameworks
  • Champion resident engagement, transparency and customer excellence

About You

  • Proven experience in a compliance or building safety leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK housing and building safety legislation
  • Experience within a Local Authority, Registered Provider or social housing environment
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
