The Ocean Conservation Trust at the National Marine Aquarium is looking to recruit a housekeeping supervisor (maternity cover) within our Housekeeping department. Site specific training will be provided; however, previous cleaning experience in a public or busy customer focused environment would be extremely beneficial. You will also have excellent communication skills and will be confident when dealing with members of the public.
The fixed term contract will run for 13 months and the successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week, working five over seven days with 7.5-hour day shifts either starting at 8am or finishing at 5.30pm. Due to the nature of our business, all applicants should be fully flexible and available to work weekends, throughout the school holidays and bank holidays. The rate of pay is £13.18 per hour (£25,701 pa). The role is subject to a three-month probationary period.
The housekeeping team play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience to all our visitors at the National Marine Aquarium. They have a keen eye for detail and an organised approach. Along with our front of house staff, they are real ambassadors for the company and are committed to consistently delivering high standards. You will be joining a passionate team of people who care about marine conservation and customer care in one of the South West’s top visitor attractions.
