About Ocean Bottle

At Ocean Bottle, our vision is to restore the health of the ocean to a better state than we inherited it. We do this by bringing people together to fund plastic collection. We create award-winning reusable bottles and cups, with every product sold funding the collection of 1000 plastic bottles in weight - before they reach the ocean. To date, we’ve collected the equivalent of 2 billion plastic bottles from ocean-bound regions. We believe that we don’t need a handful of people doing sustainability perfectly, we need millions doing it imperfectly. Our products and solutions enable consumers and businesses to drive this change and support refill behaviour whilst funding plastic collection. As a brand, we are change makers - we bring people together, we pioneer solutions and we connect others to the power of the ocean. If you're passionate about reducing the impact of plastic on our planet and the overall health of our ocean - we want to hear from you. We’re keen for people who share a connection to the ocean and with a drive to make a difference to join our mission.

What you’ll be doing:

As we approach the next stage of growth, we're looking for a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. The purpose of this role is to be the strategic custodian of the Ocean Bottle brand, translating brand strategy into integrated campaigns, experiences and communications that build brand equity, drive awareness and deepen people’s emotional connection to our mission. Working in close partnership with the Creative Director, you will jointly manage the development of campaigns from brief through to launch. You'll own campaign planning, production, budgets and delivery, so the work reaches the world effectively and performs against business objectives. Together, you'll ensure every campaign is strategically sound, creatively distinctive and commercially effective.

  • Own the brand plan end to end, translating brand strategy into an integrated calendar of campaigns, moments, and always-on activity, and holding the through-line so every output ladders back to a single, coherent brand story.
  • Jointly manage the campaign development process with the Creative Director, shaping opportunities, developing briefs, reviewing work collaboratively and ensuring every campaign balances commercial objectives with creative ambition.
  • Own campaign production from planning through delivery, managing timelines, budgets, agencies and external production partners to deliver exceptional work efficiently.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to develop inspiring creative briefs that provide strategic clarity while creating space for creative excellence.
  • Guard brand consistency across all channels, markets, and partners, owning our guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging framework so Ocean Bottle feels unmistakably like itself everywhere it shows up.
  • Turn our impact into brand-building storytelling that earns attention rather than just reporting numbers.
  • Manage brand and campaign budgets, agencies, and external partners, keeping spend accountable to outcomes.
  • Track and grow brand health using the data to sharpen what we do next.
  • Collaborate across Growth, NPD, and Sales to make sure the brand shows up consistently across our commercial channels, with particular focus on D2C and Retail.

What you’ll get:

In addition to your salary, we offer the following benefits:

  • Enhanced annual leave, including your birthday off and discretionary EOY leave
  • Flexible working model to support our employees
  • Enhanced family leave for primary and secondary caregivers
  • Private Medical Insurance through Vitality
  • Mental Health Support through the Spill platform
  • Learning support including professional coaching through More Happi and £200 learning allowance
  • Travel benefits including Cycle to Work scheme
  • Team merch including your very own OB when you join and staff discount to OB product
  • Supportive and (pet) friendly workspace in Shoreditch

At Ocean Bottle, we're as passionate about creating sustainable change as we are about creating an inclusive environment for all. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives, identities, and backgrounds to drive us forward and build a team that truly reflects the world we want to impact. So, whether you see yourself in every part of this job description or only some, we want to hear from you. If the role excites you and you're eager to contribute to our mission, please consider applying - your unique experiences and ideas could be exactly what we need to make a splash.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 8+ years experience in brand management, ideally within a fast-growing consumer or lifestyle brand, with a track record of taking campaigns from strategy to execution.
  • Strong strategic thinking with commercial rigour and excellent campaign planning capabilities - you can protect the idea and defend the numbers.
  • Outstanding project and production management skills, comfortable juggling multiple workstreams, partners, stakeholders and delivery timelines.
  • Hands‑on experience marketing across commercial channels, particularly on D2C and retail, with a feel for how the brand needs to show up differently across each environment.
  • Experience working in close partnership with senior creative leaders, contributing to a collaborative campaign development process where both strategic and creative excellence are equally valued.
  • Ability to write inspiring briefs, facilitate productive creative conversations and provide constructive strategic feedback throughout campaign development.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and external partners to deliver against clear outcomes.
  • Confidence with brand and marketing data, and the judgement to turn insight into decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to bring stakeholders across the business along with you.
  • A genuine connection to our mission and the ocean cause.
  • Embodying our core principles: Think like a detailed and rigorous founder, Champions do extra, and Give a sh*t and go all in on the mission.

What good looks like:

  • The brand shows up consistently and distinctively across every touchpoint, market, and partner.
  • Campaigns land on time, on budget, and on message, and measurably move brand health metrics in the right direction.
  • Brand and creative work in genuine partnership, with briefs that set the team up to do great work.
  • Our impact story is landing with audiences and demonstrably strengthening brand equity, not just sitting in a report.
