About the Role
Could you be the caring, compassionate person our residents are waiting to meet? Norwood House, part of Holmwood Holdings, is a well established residential care home committed to delivering exceptional standards of person-centred care. Rated Good by the CQC, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and supported.
We are currently looking for caring, compassionate, and dedicated Day Care Practitioners to join our growing team - and whether you're an experienced carer or completely new to the sector, we will give you the training, the support, and a genuine career path to succeed.
About Norwood House: We are more than just a care home - we are a family. Every member of the team plays a part in creating a warm, welcoming and homely environment where residents feel truly at home, and where new colleagues are made to feel exactly the same way.
No experience? No problem!
We believe great care starts with great people. If you bring compassion, empathy, patience, and a willingness to learn, we will provide:
- Full training leading to the Care Certificate
- A structured and supportive induction programme
- A dedicated workplace buddy to help you settle into your role
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
- Fully funded NVQ qualifications in Health & Social Care
You won't be doing it alone - Great care is a team effort, and you will never be left to figure it out on your own.
A career, not just a job.
Holmwood Holdings is a family-run group that continues to grow, and growth creates genuine opportunity. We would always rather develop our own people than recruit over them, so wherever you want your career in care to go - Senior Care Practitioner, Lead Practitioner, or a fully funded NVQ in Health & Social care - we will help you get there.
Important Information:
Please note we hold a sponsor licence but do not currently have any spare Certificates of Sponsorship available. We are, however, happy to accept applications from candidates with existing Right to Work in the UK, including those on a Dependent Visa, Graduate Visa, Post Study Work (PSW) Visa, or with supplementary employment permission.
Please note previous applicants need not apply.
Norwood House is in a rural location near Saxmundham, Suffolk, and getting here without your own transport is genuinely difficult.
- There are no direct public transport links to the home
- The nearest train station is approximately a 30-minute walk away
- There are no direct bus services to the site
If you have reliable transport, you'll find a quieter, close-knit home where you're never just a number - and a team that will make sure you feel supported from your very first shift.
