Queensway Hospital is a Mental Health service in association with the Ellern Mede Group. We provide individualised, person-centred care for our patients. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaborates with patients, families, and professionals to enhance mental health and wellbeing. Care is delivered across the spacious Elizabeth Ward, with Elizabeth Lower downstairs and Elizabeth Upper upstairs.
Our goal is to support recovery and reintegration into the community by offering choice and developing trust with all our partners. We work closely with community teams to reduce hospital stays and help prevent future admissions - this is central to our mission.
Queensway Hospital is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our hospital based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
- To provide high quality, well prepared and presented food to patients and other personnel as directed.
- To tidy the kitchen and assist the cook throughout the day.
- To provide high standards of catering, using every opportunity to provide meals of a good visual and nutritional standard.
- To help prepare meals and snacks at the direction of other catering staff and nursing staff.
- To assist in the preparation of food, wash cutlery and dishes, tidy the kitchen, replace bins and ensure waste is disposed correctly.
Requirements:
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Experience in working in a kitchen
- Experience in working in a hospital
