Provide day-to-day support to adults with autism, assisting with personal care, social activities, and skill development to promote independence. Implement individualised support plans, monitor progress, and report any changes in behaviour or needs. Attend training sessions to enhance skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices. Experience in social care or working with individuals with autism is desirable but not essential. A caring, patient, and reliable attitude with a genuine interest in supporting adults with autism. Relevant qualifications in social care, or willingness to complete. Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete records and follow support plans accurately. Willingness to learn, attend training sessions, and develop professionally within the role. Experience in social care or working with individuals with autism is desirable but not essential. Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and respect for those supported. Flexibility to adapt to individual support plans and the varying needs of service users. Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
