Salary: up to £30,000 per annum pro rata for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience, or £28,500 per annum pro rata for candidates not yet CAVA qualified.
Responsibilities- Book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period.
- Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners.
- Ensure correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners and practice managers in a sensitive manner.
- Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA.
- Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice, providing guidance where necessary.
- Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment.
- Remain current in your skills and knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements, and maintain your GDC registration.
- Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification – or willingness to acquire one.
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service – or willingness to undergo one.
- Based in Wakefield to conduct workplace assessments.
- Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines.
- IT literate – proficient use of MS Office.
- Experience assessing the Dental Diploma/Advance Apprenticeship (desirable).
- Experience working within work‑based learning programmes (desirable).
- 20 days annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus bank holidays.
- 3 days off for Christmas closure.
- Birthday day off after 1 year of service.
