About the Role

We are recruiting for a Security Officer to cover various sites, delivering a high standard of professional security and site protection. This is a primarily security-focused role, with responsibilities including CCTV monitoring, gatehouse duties, and patrols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and vigilant security presence on site
  • Monitor and operate CCTV systems, identifying risks and reviewing footage where required
  • Manage access and egress via the gatehouse, verifying ID and logging visitors/contractors
  • Carry out internal and external patrols, including perimeter and critical areas
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in line with site procedures
  • Act as first response to suspicious activity and health & safety incidents
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, reports, and handovers
  • Follow assignment instructions (AIs), SOPs, and escalation procedures
  • Work confidently lone working, particularly during quieter periods

What We're Looking For

  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
  • Full 5-year checkable work/education history (BS7858 compliant)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
  • Professional, punctual, and reliable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (essential due to site location)
