We are currently looking for an Audit Associate to join our team in Wolverhampton on a 1‐year placement. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Building an understanding of the client's internal processes and operations and reciprocating this understanding in the work allocated.
- Client and industry research to aid in planning process, including risk identification.
- Completing set assignments within a timely manner and having good time management skills in order to meet deadlines. These will cover all aspects of the balance sheet and P&L.
- Performing analytical procedures across financial statements and identifying trends and anomalies and regulatory compliance.
- Reviewing financial information and selecting information for request from clients as part of planning procedures.
- Liaising with clients to attain relevant information necessary to complete audit procedures.
- Assisting more senior staff with complex and significant risk areas.
- Reporting and advising on identified internal control observations and misstatements to management.
- Attending and performing year‐end stock counts.
The ideal Audit Associate will:
- Have a rudimentary knowledge of accounting principles & accounting basics (i.e., profit/loss & balance sheet).
- Be a strong communicator and very organised.
- Be punctual, and have the ability to work and communicate well within the audit team alongside other non‐audit internal departments.
- Be able to work on a 12‐month placement.
