Overall Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of end-to-end Talent Acquisition activities across all Glanua UK based business entities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with a wide range of business managers and senior stakeholders to provide a strategic and commercial Talent Acquisition service, continually looking for improvements in the Talent Acquisition strategy, to ensure that the best people are in the right roles at the right time.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for all Irish based Glanua and UK entities from a proactive and engaging sourcing strategy through to hiring talent and on-boarding.
  • Building strong partnerships with both internal stakeholders and candidates in order to meet the staffing needs while providing a high level of service and a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Creating and maintaining open communication with hiring managers and driving a recruitment process that supports Talent Acquisition best practices; providing support, influencing and offering expert advice to stakeholders/hiring managers in relation to selection decisions as well as the recruitment process/best practices/Policies/Legislation.
  • Using existing or innovative sourcing channels and methods to attract and build a diverse talent pool across functions; aiming to maintain an effective pipeline and network of diverse talent for existing and future hiring needs.
  • Aiming to work to a direct sourcing model by using tools and methods available, however will also be required to manage and build effective relationships with third party suppliers/recruitment agencies when required; negotiating supplier Terms & Conditions with the aim of maintaining recruitment spend at a minimal level; maintaining a preferred supplier base, tailored for each function; monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of recruitment channels and supplier activities.
  • Providing ongoing training and development to leaders to equip them with the skills and ability to use best practice interview and selection techniques.
  • Involvement in Managers Training & Development projects and programmes when required.
  • Negotiating hire offers and closing contracts with successful candidates.
  • Managing recruitment and on-boarding related administrative duties.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Glanua culture, values and mission.
  • Promoting Glanua as an equal opportunity employer and driving a fair process for both internal and external appointments.
  • Consistently aiming to deliver a high-touch personalized candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Owning the Talent Acquisition data, and using it to build the strategy.
  • Running relevant Recruitment and HR reports and communicating on metrics to the business when required.
  • Enhancing the Induction and On-boarding experience at Glan Agua by managing and driving a structured and branded orientation process for new hires.
  • Involvement in various HR projects/processes/ad-hoc duties when required, as part of the wider HR team.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in full-cycle recruitment/talent acquisition ideally in a high volume environment in a similar industry/fast-moving organisation.
  • Experience in successfully recruiting across a wide variety of business functions.
  • Previous experience of partnering with leadership teams.
  • Strong relationship building and client/stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communicator, both written, verbal and presenting; ability to communicate with diplomacy and manage difficult conversations; negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Able to think strategically & to execute tactically.
  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Previous experience in the delivery of Talent Acquisition and HR projects.
  • Previous experience in utilizing an ATS and/or HRIS is preferred; SAP SuccessFactors working knowledge will be advantageous.
  • Solid MS Office skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
