Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide practical and technical support for environmental consultancy projects on commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater and sludge processing projects. You will be contributing to a variety of consultancy project types that will primarily include:
- Operational and Commissioning Support: On-site and desktop technical process support on operational, commissioning and process consultancy projects as required by the business.
- Project Management: Managing all aspects of projects assigned to you, including development of proposals, producing RAMS, managing resources, time, contractors, client relationships and financial aspects.
- Support QHSE manager with the development, implementation and continued improvement of standard procedures and quality systems.
- Business Development: Develop a network of existing and new clients and manage client relationships to support business growth strategies.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would be someone with a degree in a relevant field and an interest in providing practical solutions to environmental improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience.
- Field/office/lab based roles involving collection and analysis of samples, interpretation of data, development of scientific reports, presenting findings to clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dynamic problem-solving approach, thinking outside the box for bespoke solutions.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK; may involve working away for short periods.
- Full clean driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
- BSc or BEng (min) in a relevant field.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of water/wastewater chemistry, microbiology, engineering.
- Practical experience working on industrial sites/water utility sites.
- Coordinating with various teams and line managers.
- Confident in communicating ideas to clients and teams via meetings and presentations.
- Good awareness of H&S requirements for site work (RAMS, permits, inductions).
- Previous experience of customer-facing roles in a professional setting.
- Experience developing SOPs.
- Understanding of site engineering (pumps, mixers, aeration systems, mechanical functions, control philosophies).
Preferred Skills: Developing and undertaking laboratory methods.
