Responsibilities
- Health, Safety and Environment
- Work within the client and AOL HSE systems.
- Visible ownership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation and within AOL.
- Understand the multi-skilled (EMI) maintenance function to complete basic and/or complex maintenance tasks and work unsupervised with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to complete purchase requisitions and track costs.
- People and Behaviour
- Develop good team working behaviours with the client and other AOL staff.
- Undergo training as required.
- Identify training needs to Manager.
- Operations and Maintenance
- Identify faults, evaluate rectification measures and make initial recommendations to carry out basic and/or complex repairs.
- Gather all systems information and complete plant logs to understand the function and operation of the ETP on the site.
- Utilising plant information, identify any changes in system performance and/or potential operational problems, evaluate and make initial recommendations to return plant to its optimum operating condition.
- Development and maintenance of good housekeeping practices.
- Work unsupervised with a proactive attitude.
- Customer
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer personnel, AOL and sub-contractor staff.
- Promptly raise any issues which could affect both the client and AOL.
Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrate previous work experience and an ability to interpret technical information to affect changes on the plant.
- Operational and maintenance knowledge of Effluent/Water treatment plants.
- Recognised time served as a Maintenance Fitter / Engineer.
- Experience of working directly with sub-contractors.
- Ability to interpret advanced technical literature and engineering drawings to affect repairs of complex items of plant.
- Ability and knowledge to complete basic and complex repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to use Maintenance Management Systems.

- Recognised maintenance qualifications (for example NVQ).
