Environment:
White Trees is an independent school specialising in pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan, with ILPs written based upon outcomes and aims from their EHCPs, identifying strategies and interventions to support their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering adapted lessons.
- Supporting behaviour using calm, relational and therapeutic approaches.
- Monitoring wellbeing and safeguarding concerns.
- Working with SENCO, therapists, social workers and families.
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Reporting and recording pupil attainment, progress and assessment results within the school's recording and reporting structure.
- Using data and records to set aspirational targets and plan challenging activities.
Qualifications:
- GCSE/Level 2 in English & Maths (desirable).
- Desirable experience with needs including ASD, SEMH, SEN.
