Shift Model
The Dupont schedule follows a four‑week cycle. Colleagues switch between day (05:30–17:30) and night (17:30–05:30) shifts, often within the same week, working three or four consecutive days. Workdays are interspersed with one to three consecutive days off, plus one block of seven days off during the four‑week period.
Responsibilities
- Package extruded kibble into specific bags for customers.
- Operate and set up machines, robots, and automated equipment in one of four cells.
- Carry out quality checks at hourly intervals and record results on paper‑based documents.
- Follow production guidelines to pack products correctly.
- Monitor machinery and equipment effectiveness.
- Follow IPN 'Clean As You Go' policy to maintain hygiene standards.
- Promote a safe‑working culture, comply with policies, and report safety observations or plant damage.
Qualifications
- Good standard of education with literacy and numerical skills; able to understand, communicate, and report clearly in English.
- IT literate and able to record data on factory computers.
- Can work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Live within 30 miles of YO7 3HE and have own transport.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
- Undertake training and assist in training other colleagues when required.
