Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of care to vulnerable patients. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with all their personal needs, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Ensuring documentation is completed in a timely fashion, reflecting the care delivered and escape concerns regarding a patients' health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Being friendly, kind and compassionate towards patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues, respecting the dignity and individuality of each patient.

To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is preferred but not required as we are proud to offer a thorough induction and training programme, after which you will work towards your Care Certificate qualification so you can gain confidence within your role. Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards patients and other people in the home.
  • Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Please note this role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Fairlie Healthcare Group, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK. This role is not open to candidates who require sponsorship. Applications from individuals who would require sponsorship will not be considered.
