About the Role

The Finance Officer supports the day‑to‑day running of the finance function, helping maintain accurate financial records and contributing to reliable monthly reporting.

Duties will include:

  • Transactional Finance Support – processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing finance queries through the shared inbox to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Accounts Receivable & Reconciliations – supporting customer reconciliations, assisting with debt collection activities, and performing regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Month‑End & Management Accounts – assisting with month‑end close activities, preparing supporting schedules and contributing to the production of management accounts.
  • General Finance Operations – providing ad‑hoc finance support across the team while gaining exposure to broader accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are organised, accurate, and eager to develop your finance career within a collaborative and supportive team environment. You enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and ensuring processes run smoothly.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exposure to management accounts preparation.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of own workload within a wider team.
  • AAT Level 3 (or equivalent), or currently studying towards.
  • Experience using Sage 200 and/or Microsoft Business Central (beneficial).
  • Experience within a regulated, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar environment (ideal).
