As a Staff Nurse, you will:
- Receive training in trachea and ventilator care and assist staff in delivering a range of care services, including social activities.
- Ensure the personal care and other health needs of residents are met and that assigned duties are executed professionally and compassionately, in line with the Home’s core values, the Skills for Care Code of Conduct and the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Maintain up‑to‑date clinical documentation that accurately reflects the resident’s current clinical and care needs, updating monthly or more frequently as required.
- Administer prescribed medication to residents following the instructions of the prescribing doctor, the Home’s medication policies, and NMC guidance on the Standards of Medication Administration.
- Uphold CQC domains to deliver care that is safe, caring, effective and responsive.
- Utilise the clinical governance framework and adverse event reporting procedures to identify and report any adverse events, particularly those affecting patient safety or other reportable events.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration.
- Understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Proficiency in dispensing and administering oral medication.
- Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads.
- Interest in developing knowledge of the clinical speciality and own practice.
- Experience in a neuro‑rehabilitation environment.
- Aware of current neuro‑health issues.
