Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality, professional care to residents.
- Supervise all staff on the Care Team during duties, including health, safety, security, medication administration, and covering for absent staff.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and cleaning.
- Support residents to eat and drink.
- Get to know residents to offer comfort, assistance and reassurance when needed.
- Oversee the well-being of residents and keep care plans up to date.
- Encourage residents to remain independent and participate in the community within the home.
- Treat residents with dignity, respect and as individuals with unique needs.
- Provide end-of-life support.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager as required and within capability.
About you:
- Enjoys working with older people and demonstrates empathy toward them.
- Has an RQF accreditation in Health & Social Care at level 2 or above.
- Has a minimum of two years of experience as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
- Is willing to lead shifts and take a hands-on role when needed.
- Can work well in a team and is ready to take on any task to provide excellent care.
