Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality, professional care to residents.
  • Supervise all staff on the Care Team during duties, including health, safety, security, medication administration, and covering for absent staff.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and cleaning.
  • Support residents to eat and drink.
  • Get to know residents to offer comfort, assistance and reassurance when needed.
  • Oversee the well-being of residents and keep care plans up to date.
  • Encourage residents to remain independent and participate in the community within the home.
  • Treat residents with dignity, respect and as individuals with unique needs.
  • Provide end-of-life support.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager as required and within capability.

About you:

  • Enjoys working with older people and demonstrates empathy toward them.
  • Has an RQF accreditation in Health & Social Care at level 2 or above.
  • Has a minimum of two years of experience as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
  • Is willing to lead shifts and take a hands-on role when needed.
  • Can work well in a team and is ready to take on any task to provide excellent care.

  • Bank shifts available to cover absences, sickness, holidays and relief.
