We are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Commercial team in Letchworth.
What you'll be doing:
- You will lead end-to-end procurement across materials and plant packages, ensuring best value and availability to ensure programme certainty and compliance.
- Operating within COINS ERP+, the role optimises purchasing processes, strengthens supplier relationships, and drives cost, quality, and sustainability outcomes aligned to project and business objectives.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior Buyer (or Buyer ready to step up) in residential or mixed-use development, housebuilding, or construction (SME environment advantageous).
- Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, category management, and supplier performance management.
- Knowledge and experience of competitive tenders, commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
- Strong familiarity with COINS ERP+.
- Experience reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, and producing accurate material schedules.
- Experience coordinating with all departments.
- Awareness of sustainability/ESG in procurement.
