We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our friendly team, providing accountancy to a number of clients across various business sectors.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Liaising with clients regarding accounts, tax returns and other issues.
- Review of junior accounts staff work and completion for client management accounts.
- Having a portfolio of self‑assessment and partnership tax returns to complete each year.
- Supporting and guiding junior staff.
- Answer ad‑hoc client queries via telephone/email.
Qualifications
- Experience with Iris, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
- Extensive tax knowledge of all areas of personal and corporate taxation.
- Able to work on own initiative to meet deadlines.
- Friendly and confident manner.
- Experience working as part of a team and alone.
- Track record working to tight deadlines and unsupervised.
- 5 years experience within an accountancy practice.
