Salary: £16.31 per hour (£15.31 for those 21 years and younger)
Hours: Full time, Permanent contract (7pm‑7am, 3 shifts one week, 4 the next, alternate weekends)
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest possible levels of care and support residents in all aspects of daily living.
- Promote resident independence, choice, dignity and respect, whilst supporting physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Lead the shift to maintain high standards, support team members and contribute during handovers.
- Complete daily medication rounds and document consistently, ensuring charts are accurate and audits are passed.
- Promote good practice, challenge poor practice, and champion continuous improvement.
- Ensure one‑to‑one meetings for all care and support staff are held every two months.
- Investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Role Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
- Aware of Person‑Centred Care Planning principles.
- Understanding of abuse prevention, recognition of abuse signs and procedures for allegations.
- Residence within 30 minutes of the Home.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Leadership and people skills.
- A caring, nurturing, positive and enthusiastic outlook.
- Time‑management, written and verbal communication skills.
