About St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home:
St Andrew's is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.
Role Responsibilities:
You will join our brilliant Maintenance Team and carry out the day-to-day maintenance of the Home and its services and grounds/gardens, to ensure that it is a safe and desirable place for our residents to live and team members to work in. This will involve a combination of completing regular maintenance checks, day to day maintenance tasks, completing more superficial refurbishment projects autonomously, and periodically assisting the Maintenance & Refurbishment Support Manager with more involved refurbishment projects. You will be responsible to ensure the action plans of all the annual Bedroom & Communal maintenance audits are completed by the Compliance Support Manager are signed off within 3 months and rooms scores are in line with the latest quarterly targets. Ensure available rooms are decorated and turned around within 3 days of being vacant and ensure the exterior of our care home is always presentable and homely.
Role Requirements:
- General maintenance knowledge / experience as per checklist in the Job Description (e.g. minor electrical, decorating, plumbing, joinery work etc.)
- Hold a clean driving licence and use of a car
- Live within 20 minutes of the Home
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to manage pressure, conflicting demands, and prioritise tasks
- Ability to organise own time and workload
- Self-motivated
- Modest IT skills, including ability to email, print documents, scan documents, save documents with appropriate file names and fill in basic excel spreadsheets. Training can be provided for this if necessary (preferred)
- Hold a Level 2 or above (e.g. in Maintenance or Facilities Management) (preferred)
