Job Overview: Care Assistant – Nights (Full time, Permanent) – South Moor Lodge Care Home, Walkeringham, DN10 4LD. Hours: 7 pm – 7 am, 2–3 shifts per week (including alternate weekends). Salary: £13.31 per hour plus incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents with daily activities (washing, dressing, eating).
- Promote residents’ independence with focus on choice, dignity and respect.
- Support physical and emotional well-being of residents.
- Complete Daily Charts accurately and maintain 90%+ compliance in monthly audits.
- Stay current with mandatory training and maintain complete record.
- Work under pressure and maintain a positive, enthusiastic mindset.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clear motivation and relevant experience as a care assistant.
- Residing within 30 minutes of the care home.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Caring and nurturing attitude, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- For candidates under 21 hours per day will be paid £1.00 lower, still above national minimum wage.
