About St Andrew’s Nursing and Care Home:
St Andrew’s is located in the village of Ewerby, 5 miles east of Sleaford, in a selectively extended old vicarage, providing a homely environment with modern accommodation. It offers personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.
Role Responsibilities for Housekeeper:
- Complete janitorial orders for the home.
- Conduct cleaning audits.
- Carry out regular stocktake of janitorial stock.
- Complete one‑to‑one sessions for housekeeping assistants and ancillary team every two months.
- Ensure all team members instill a culture of putting residents’ needs first and providing excellent care.
- Maintain bedrooms, corridors and public areas to required standard; beds made neat with clean bedding.
- Adhere to infection control practices as per policy for residents, staff and colleagues.
- Work as a team player and under pressure.
- Go above and beyond to meet residents’ needs.
- Show flexibility with working hours.
- Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
Role Requirements for Housekeeper:
- Hold a relevant Level 2 qualification or be willing to sign up to complete this qualification.
- One year of relevant experience in a commercial setting.
- One year of experience managing people.
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care (preferred).
- One year of relevant experience in a residential or nursing home (preferred).
- Experience conducting effective person‑centred one‑to‑on‑ones (preferred).
