The role involves joining our growing Audit and Accounts team in our Borehamwood office.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing analysis and designated reports.
  • Bookkeeping and VAT reporting to a high standard.
  • Cashflow reporting and forecasting.
  • Month and quarter end adjustments and reconciliations.
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports for clients as required.
  • Providing support and training to junior members of staff where required.

  • AAT Qualified or Part Qualified (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant, ideally within a professional services firm.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience of bookkeeping and producing monthly management accounts, including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, accrued income, and deferred income.
  • Knowledge of cashflow reports and forecasts is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with a varied and demanding client base across telephone, email, and face-to-face communication.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero, Sage Line 50, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Up to date knowledge of accounting and taxation practices and current developments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
  • A commercially minded outlook with professionalism and confidence to build strong relationships through credibility, trust, and mutual respect.
