We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our Commercial team in Theale.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the effective control and timely procurement of materials to support all construction-related activities.
- Securing best value.
- Placing orders in line with the relevant build programme and specification.
- Actively managing supplier relationships.
- Collaborating closely with Site, Technical and Commercial teams.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
- Typically 3-5 years' relevant experience as a Buyer within residential housebuilding.
- Strong supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of materials, specifications and cost control.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in COINS or a similar construction system.
- Able to use Microsoft Office packages, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent IT and numerical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
