Role Overview

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the production operative will operate machinery to produce and fit Energy Storage products, ensuring customer quality and demand are met. The role involves 12‑hour shifts across days and nights, with a rotating 3‑week shift pattern of 36:15 hours (Day), 47:30 hours (Day & Night), and 36:15 hours (Night). All tasks are carried out in strict adherence to Kingspan's HSE procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and fit products to satisfy customer quality and demand.
  • Work as part of the production team, maintaining required quality standards and carrying out product quality checks.
  • Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks and complete production, quality and maintenance reports.
  • Work safely and effectively in accordance with Work Instructions and HSE Standards.
  • Meet machinery/fitting production targets and actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and are well presented.
  • Carry out safety, production and quality checks, and complete documentation as appropriate.
  • Work within a team or unsupervised to ensure “right first time” and minimize downtimes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within a fast‑moving manufacturing environment operating heavy machinery.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, including drills.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately measure and document production activities.
  • Mature attitude to health & safety and quality, with attention to detail.
  • Effective time management.
  • Previous forklift training is desirable.
