We're looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to join our office-based IT team. This contract role lasts 3‑6 months with 40 hours per week and will be performed full time at our Poole office.
Responsibilities
- Operate day‑to‑day running, maintenance and support of the company's core infrastructure, networks, telephony, and server environments.
- Act as the technical lead for resolving complex issues, managing incidents, maintaining system performance, and ensuring secure, stable operations across on‑prem and cloud services.
- Configure, troubleshoot, patch, monitor and upgrade systems, providing daily workload leadership to the IT Systems Administrator.
- Maintain accreditations such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Manage network servers, technology tools, accounts and workstations, and monitor performance.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, vulnerability detection, patching and mitigation, and firewalls.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies and create technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.
- Liaise with third‑party support companies when necessary.
- Collate and monitor daily/weekly/monthly team performance KPIs.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and the strategic direction of the company's networks and systems.
- Manage, train, motivate and monitor direct reports, including conducting regular 1:1s and appraisals.
- Implement, document and maintain systems, policies and procedures to agreed timescales and standards.
- Provide hands‑on support within any role in the team during absences or high workload.
- Obtain and maintain ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations.
