Within our Facilities Management division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites.

Reporting directly into the Contracts Manager, the Maintenance Plumber will take a hands-on and customer-facing role in the delivery of commercial contract works, covering the following:

  • Carrying out maintenance of heating installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings (including boilers, pipelines, valves, pumps, control gear, and other associated equipment), and be fully conversant with all aspects of the heating systems in line with technical qualifications held.
  • Completing installation and maintenance of plumbing, drainage, and sanitation installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of these systems.
  • Undertake fault finding diagnosis, problem solving, and analysis of plant operation appertaining to the operation and efficacy of the installed mechanical systems (including plumbing, drainage, heating, and HVAC systems).
  • Carry out relevant testing and certification of mechanical plant and systems in accordance with all appropriate regulations and within the remit of the postholder's relevant qualifications.
  • To always work in a safe manner and to a high standard, in line with best working practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2
  • Experience in commercial gas heating
  • Experience in plant room installations
