Role Accountabilities:
- Operate waste vehicles such as skip lorries, dustcarts and vacuum tankers
- Remove waste articles and prep them for transport
- Accompany the Foreman Driver during all operations ensuring a smooth transition to driver operator
- Learn all CSG/Valero safety requirements
- Work with a small team ensuring all works are completed safely and compliantly
- Carry out daily checks and 360 walk-arounds
- Communicate with the driver/foreman and all other team members
- Gain full knowledge of the site and different working areas
- Understand and adhere to PPE, Health & Safety requirements, JHA and day-to-day reporting responsibilities
- Maintain a personal presentation that meets PPE standards
- Provide customer care to colleagues and keep the workforce aware of teamwork importance
- Represent the company positively when the driver/operator leaves the compound
- Participate in the on-call rota upon completing training
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid ADR Licence (preferred)
- Positive attitude
- HGV Class 2 licence required
- Basic literacy/numeracy qualification
- Good time management
- Pro-active, attentive to detail, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
- Driving experience preferred
- Flexible to overtime requirements
- CPC licence holder (desirable)
- Newly qualified drivers will be considered
