Location: On site – Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough Common, Orpington BR6 8ND

Contract Type: Fixed term (6 months, possibility of extension)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm)

Salary: £27,000 per annum (pro‑rata)

Role Summary: This client‑site-based role is pivotal to the non‑clinical function. As a Patient Booking Team Leader you will lead and support the booking team on the ground to consistently deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction is at the forefront of all bookings.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the booking process at Princess Royal University Hospital and report to the Patient Booking Manager.
  • Provide training and support to existing team members.
  • Handle escalated booking inquiries, ensuring timely and professional resolutions for the Patient Booking Manager.
  • Complete daily booking reports and provide feedback to the Patient Booking Manager.
  • Generate regular performance reports for management.
  • Ensure all clinics are scheduled and utilized at least 3‑4 weeks in advance.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in patient appointment booking, ideally within the NHS.
  • Experience in endoscopy preferred; medical or healthcare experience also considered.
  • EPIC experience is preferable.
