Salary and Hours: Competitive salary. Hours: 41 per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare subcontractor and material enquiries, building relationships, and supporting a smooth procurement process.
  • Assist in assembling subcontract orders, ensuring all documents, insurance, and package details are in place for seamless project progression.
  • Support management of subcontractor accounts, gaining hands-on experience with remeasurement, tracking variations, and monitoring provisional sums.
  • Record and price project variations, sharpening commercial skills while supporting accurate and reliable final accounts.
  • Review subcontractor applications for payment, preparing timely payment notices and strengthening financial control across projects.
  • Contribute to valuations, cost analysis and reporting, collaborating closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to develop expertise and progress the career.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an HNC in construction.
  • Knowledge of residential contracting, awareness of property taxation and contractual law.
  • Understanding of modern and traditional building methods.
  • Technical knowledge of both traditional and modern building methods, keen eye for quality and innovation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and clear written communication.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills, adaptability to construction management IT packages.
