A vacancy has arisen for a Working Supervisor to join our team with Severn Trent Frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of small teams of staff to carry out engineering projects to plan within the STW Framework and engineering team of Hargreaves Industrial Services.
  • Ensure work is delivered to a high quality, safely within the constraints of the programme and cost plan.
  • Responsible for day to day operational duties of the team.
  • Safe deployment of team; maintain health, safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and communicate progress or issues to Clients and HIS Framework and Project Manager.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture on all projects to drive for zero harm.
  • Assist in delivering projects on time and identifying efficiencies and innovations where possible.
  • Provide information needed for key project tools such as inspection and test plans, project programmes and risk registers.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of five years' experience in supervising staff.
  • Mechanical or electrical formal qualifications through the apprenticeship route.
  • Supervisory skills and experience.
  • FLT licence preferable.
  • CDM Awareness Training.
  • Welding/rigging & slinging/ confined space trained preferable.
  • Set team to work safely including all safety paperwork, RAMS, POWRA etc.
  • Ability to oversee project work to completion.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Positive attitude to safety.
  • Strong team player.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to timescale.
