We're looking for a Project Architect to join our team and create real impact by supporting the architectural offer of Lungfish, by designing and running projects as well as supporting the growth of the Lungfish portfolio. You'll share our passion for the Education Sector by creating inspiring learning environments, and thrive on delivering projects from concept to completion, creating purposeful, sustainable, inspiring environments. You'll have significant experience in the education sector and put that to good use, running projects and programmes with a variety of clients, stakeholders and national contractors. From simple classroom expansions to multi-million-pound projects and innovative forest schools, we have the knowledge and experience to create and deliver ambitious designs with purpose and sustainability at the core.

You'll be joining an established team of architects, designers and technologists - who have a collective drive for creation, and collaboration. We challenge each brief we receive to ensure we save our clients time, money and ultimately deliver a building designed to last. Writing bids and supporting successful business development outcomes is an important part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll work collaboratively with the wider team, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach to the delivery of technical drawings.
  • Produce and co-ordinate technical drawings on a range of projects in 2D/3D using Autodesk Revit and other appropriate software, including the use of CDE portals such as Autodesk BIM360 3D models.
  • Liaise with clients, including the review of incoming third-party information and integration of design information, that protects the design and client’s brief.
  • Display skill, imagination, and sensitivity in communicating and collaborating with diverse clients and multidisciplinary design teams during the development and delivery of technical work stages.
  • You’ll have a good working knowledge of environmentally sustainable systems and their application in new and existing developments as part of energy efficiency programmes or single building projects.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio of experience within the education sector as a Project Architect.
  • Degree in Architecture.
  • Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit for both 3D collaborative design and 2D production information output.
  • Post qualification evidence of CPD / RIBA core curriculum topics.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teams and an ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and reconcile differences.
  • Knowledge of current & emerging technical design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities pertaining to the role.
