We require Hygiene Operatives to work in our Newry Site. Working from 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1pm Friday until finish, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required. Working with the Hygiene team to complete the daily hygiene to a high standard.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all equipment in the factory (machinery, belts, etc.) is cleaned to a high standard – full training and PPE will be provided.
  • Adhering to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations.
  • Promptly reporting any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor.
  • Reporting to your manager/supervisor of the area concerned any maintenance requirements.
  • Working in a manner to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Adhering to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
  • Complying with managers/supervisors instructions in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring full understanding of all instructions given and asking for clarification if necessary.
  • Being responsible for the security and effective use of consumables during day-to-day activities.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required.
  • Carrying out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.
  • Observing Company Policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary.
  • Undertaking training/retraining and training other employees as required.
  • Undertaking Chemical training at ABP Newry.
  • Observing Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency.
  • Observing and adhering to the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring a neutral environment is maintained.
