We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Operative with a positive, can-do attitude to join our Cambridge Maintenance team. The role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to high standards of care, and a client-facing approach that ensures a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain all records in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Carry out routine checks and inspections, documenting issues and reporting findings.
- Adhere to health and safety, fire policies, and relevant legislation.
- Support induction of new team members.
- Order and check stock upon delivery.
- Collaborate with the Home Manager, teams, and residents.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Participate in a shared on-call rota for evenings and weekends (call-outs paid).
- Engage in training and development activities for personal growth.
- Previous experience in a handy person, maintenance, painting and decorating, or gardening role.
- Own basic tools (all materials provided by the company).
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (to travel to other homes – mileage reimbursed).
- Electrical background is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Completed enhanced DBS (Criminal Records Check).
- Salary: £31,820 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications).
- 45 hours per week – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
