Overview:

Warehouse / Stores Team Leader reporting to the Logistics Manager in Dundee.

Principal objectives:

  • Co-ordinate and oversee all Stores activities at our Longforgan Warehouse to ensure efficient processes and maximise productivity.
  • Coordinate logistical processes and investigate any failures and discrepancies.
  • Plan workloads and delegate tasks.
  • Ensure the accuracy of stock reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and participate in daily Stores tasks, including the receipt, documentation, storage and dispatch of goods and materials.
  • Assess team performance and provide feedback to the line manager.
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand for customers.
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
  • Ensure all orders are picked, packed and despatched within the required customer service level agreements.
  • Review and resolve any escalated Stores related queries.
  • Utilise space efficiently and effectively.
  • Operate and coordinate training in the use of warehouse equipment and machinery, including scheduling routine maintenance and servicing as required.
  • Observe health and safety requirements and maintain the Stores in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
  • Forklift Truck driving as required.
  • Liaise with internal repairers to ensure accurate reporting and tracking of parts internally.
  • Deal with couriers and hauliers as required.
