The practice is looking for a communicative and technical individual who will act as a focus for specification writing and cladding expertise, coordinating the in-house training in specification writing, and preparing and maintaining SR bespoke guidance notes within NBS Chorus software. The role will also include managing the interface between NBS Chorus platform and BIM modelling software. This person will report to the technical director.
Key tasks:
- Creating and maintaining SR bespoke clauses and guidance notes within NBS Chorus software platform
- Writing and reviewing specifications to ensure a consistently high standard is maintained across the practice
- Integrating with all technical directives, including Design Delivery Group (DDG) initiatives and presentations
- Providing technical support to staff across all grades and disciplines
- Preparing and presenting in-house training seminars for specification writing to cover both general guidance on specification writing and the operation and use of NBS Chorus software
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Specification Writer
- A demonstrable background in the architectural sector, with solid experience creating NBS documents and construction details
- Strong technical ability
- Excellent understanding of UK building regulations
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Expert knowledge of NBS Chorus software
Salary: The salary is dependent on the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
